This project involves the renovation of a detached house, intended as the long-term living space for the owner’s parents.

A key site condition was the full preservation of an existing mature tree adjacent to the property. The design therefore takes the tree as its point of departure, forming the basis of the overall spatial strategy.

Parking is arranged alongside the tree, with the main entrance positioned nearby, allowing residents to engage with nature in their daily routines. In this way, the tree is not only preserved, but also becomes a meaningful node within everyday circulation.

The exterior design is articulated primarily through steel structural components. Their extension and proportional modulation give rise to a layered and clearly articulated façade.

Light filters through the gaps between spatial partitions, entering the interior and generating shifting patterns of light and shadow throughout the day, creating a living atmosphere that is both functional and poetic.

Centered on the coexistence of structure, light, and nature, the design breathes new spatial vitality into the old house.
